Compassion UK was the reason for the show that was put on last week Saturday and before delving into the details of the show I'll give you a low down about the organisation. Operating in over 26 countries Compassion is a child development ministry that works through local churches in poor communities to release children from poverty and grant them the opportunity to become fulfilled and responsible Christian adults.
Individuals can join Compassion in the fight against extreme child poverty by sponsoring a child for just a small amount of money per month. This money helps to put deprived children through the various stages of education and offers them much needed health care, meets their basic needs and gives them the opportunity to hear the word of God.

I was the model stylist for the day! Gosh, this opportunity really showed me how much I love doing what I do, though! Anyway, it was such fun putting looks together, coming up with the running orders of the runway segments and rehearsing prior to the start of the show. I actually left my house in such a hurry that I forgot my flats *eek* and by the end of the day my feet were killing me, but it was definitely worth it!

I was predominantly in charge of styling menswear. All the menswear items, printed snoods, pocket squares and burgundy waistcoats, were provided by Live Israelah Connection (L.I.C) UK - remember her women's wear designs from the Nigerian Independence Day Celebration? I loved every single one of the pieces and it was so much fun letting my creative side loose by mixing and matching prints to come up with unique looks.

There were also vendors selling different items throughout the day and it was the best opportunity for my really good friend Bisola to debut her baking services. She runs a baking service called Buttercream and trust me, she makes the most amazing cupcakes ever!! My favourites are her red velvet and cookies and cream ones. I had to beg her to reserve me a special box as everything was selling out so quickly. Bisola is based in Sheffield; for orders and inquiries call her on 07776751850 or email her at buttercreambybis@gmail.com. Alternatively you can also check out her Instagram Page @buttercreambbis.
Pastor Shirleena Blackwood (centre) of New Life Millennium City Church was the brains behind everything and I couldn't thank her enough for putting such an incredible show together and for also including me. And guys, Dee did such an amazing job again with the models' make up. Check out her YouTube channel here.
