Monochrome: Polka Dots on Stripes

Hello, lovely readers! Monochrome is definitely this season's top trend and can be pulled off with such ease and minimal effort. For my personal styling of this trend, I decided to put a spin on things by matching a striped pencil skirt with this lovely over-sized polka dot blouse I found at Primark.

Lol, it also seems as though I can't go anywhere without my trusty little yellow bag! It's literally been stuck to me since I bought it and it seems to go with almost everything I wear because it adds a pop of colour! 

If you're going to pull off the monochrome look, it's worth adding a vibrant accessory that adds a pop of colour and gives interest to the outfit so that things don't look too bland and boring. Neon colours work best with monochrome, so think bright oranges, yellows and even greens, and try to stay clear of black on white, on black on white.
